托福听力怎么记笔记?

   托福听力以其学术性强、类别广、盲听的考察形式,有很多学生会和老师反应:听力笔记很难记下来?或者,要记什么?

  这确实是一个难题,因为笔记是一种综合体的呈现。同学们回忆一下,上专业课的时候,在听懂老师讲解的内容之后,对其进行整理总结,最后以笔记的形式记录下来。那么听力笔记亦是如此。


  首先,要听懂听力,这是记笔记的前提。可实际情况是,很多同学普遍听不明白听力意思,也就是说,听到的10句话中,往往只能理解其中3-4句话,更有甚者,只能听到其中的一些词。这种情况下,不要去想如何记笔记,而应该去解决“听力听懂”的问题。因此,要练习精听;步骤如下:

  其次,怎么记笔记?这个问题,老师之前的文章中提到过,同学们要掌握必要的笔记符号。笔记符号可以帮助简化记的内容,这样可以有更多的注意力去听教授的讲座,总结篇章的逻辑层次。


  最后,记什么?这是笔记最核心的内容---肯定要记重点。了解托福听力的同学都知道,一篇讲座5min左右。5min是什么概念?回忆大学中,我们参加过的英语演讲赛,一般情况下时间要求也就是3min。所以一篇讲座5min,时间不算短,内容会比较多,但是题目只有6个题。因此,听力的出题点一定是有关于文章的主旨或者重要信息的。比如:


  1.    概念解释/术语

  这一重点常见的引出词句是what we call XX;或者XX is named/called/known as….., 其结构是先给出学术概念或者专业术语,在解释其含义,最后举例说明。当然,这3部分内容在顺序上可能会有差异。听以下音频,判断结构,回答问题:

  题目:What point does the professor make whenhe refers to the university library?

  A.Study on problem solving took place there

  B. Students should go there to read more about behaviorism

  C. Students' eyes will turn to ward it if they think about it

  D. He learned about William James' concept of thinking there

  “A related concept of thinking was developed by William James. It’s called ideomotor action.//(概念) Ideomotor action is an activity that occurs without our noticing it,without our being aware of it. //(解释 )I’ll give you one simple example. If you think of locations,there tends to be eye movement that occurs with your thinking about that location. In particular,from where we’re sitting,imagine that you’re asked to think of our university library.” //(举例说明)

  2.    教授态度

  很多时候,在讲座中,教授不可避免的会表达自己的主观态度,这个地方就是出题点。同学们要善于从描述信息中得出评价信息,或者从语气表达判断教授态度。听以下音频,回答问题:

  What is the professor’s opinion about the conclusions of the recent study of the limestone formations in the Empty Quarter?

  A.    They have changed the way geologists study desert environments.

  B.    Theycontradict findings about similar desert lakes.

  C.    They explain the causes of monsoons in the desert.

  D.    They need to be confirmed by additional studies.

  A recent study of some of the formationspresents some new theories about the area's past. Keep in mind though that thisstudy only looked at 19 formations. And about a thousand have been documented.So there's a lot more work to be done.
