- 一个别人帮助我的经历
We often say, the rose’s in her hand, the flavor in mine. However, it is the thing people helped me that leaves a deep impression on me.
I can still remember it was in a hot summer that I had a bicycle accident. One of my arms could not move and it hurt. My university roommate Jane helped me a lot. Except for attending some compulsory courses, I had to stay in the dormitory and went to school hospital regularly to change fresh dressing for my wound. In order for me to keep pace with the lecture and pass the exam, every day she tried to take notes carefully so that I could make a copy. Moreover, after she finished her lunch in the school canteen, she would take some for me. It lasted for almost a month until I was recovered. To receive others’ help is so heart-warming that we should encourage everyone to give others a hand when they are in trouble, then our world will become more and more harmonious.

The child I’d like to talk about is my cousin, Martin, who is about 7 years old now and he is studying at a primary school.
When he was about 4 years old, he began to learn painting because he always likes doing graffiti on every surface of the object. He is really interested in it because he spends a lot of time on that every day and his favorite drawing is cartoon characters like Snoopy and Transformers. Last month, he won a national prize for painting, which gives him more motivation in painting. What’s more, he likes to play with his friends. Nowadays, most children are the only child of their family, so at weekends, my cousin is encouraged to invite his classmates or neighbors to come home. He is very polite, he knows that he should offer his seat to the elders on buses when they play some emulational games, and he will not have snacks until those who are older have taken their share. Therefore, he is so lovely and lovable.

When it comes to the electronic product, we may immediately think of computers or cell phones. However, in my view, TV set is a more glorious one.
Through it, information across the world spreads swiftly and widely. What’s more, it entertains people after a whole day of tedious work. It brings about a great advance in economic development by TV programs and commercials. Also, TV set contributes much to the creation of Global Village because people can know big events happening in the world within seconds, even on live. It broadens people’s horizon through some instructive programs such as discovery and traveling fictions. However, TV set can make people, especially children addicted to boring TV series, which can harm their eyesight, mislead their viewpoint, and make them become couch-potatoes. Therefore, we should use TV set more wisely so it can be of great benefit to human beings.
- 一天闲暇时刻干的事情
If I have a day to take a rest, I would go to the park, which is within walking distance from the home I live in. The park is a round-shaped one that is enclosured by high walls. In the morning, I will walk on a special land barefooted because there are some pebbles on it, which is very much like a massage for my feet and it feels good. I love it so much that I can spend nearly one and half an hour and won’t feel hurt. But what I like best is the fitness facilities in one corner of the park, so after walking, I will do a bit of exercises. A fresh start, isn’t it?
In the afternoon, I will find a quiet place to read. If I am tired, I would talk with people of neighborhoods. Nowadays, many people have a very busy lifestyle, including me. We don’t even have time to talk much outside of the office; therefore, the park provides a fantastic opportunity for people to chat and get to know each other better.
In the evening, I will just watch some TV programs and go to bed early to get enough sleep for the coming of another busy day.

I have given many gifts to others, but what impresses most is on my cousin’s 18th birthday, I gave an I-pad to him as a present to both celebrate his becoming as an adult and entry to the top university.
When he first saw it, he was extremely excited and taken by its streamlined and trendy design. He loves it enormously that he always takes it along wherever he goes. He often telephones me that it is very convenient to take to the classroom to search for materials on the Internet when he has some questions on the course and to send his assignments by e-mail. What’s more, he finds it much faster to take down class notes by typing than by writing on a notebook. Sometimes, he can even record the video of teaching. Until now, he still says that it is the most special and precious gift he has ever received because it has brought him a lot of convenience in life. It is very sweet to know that he loves my gift and I hope he can work harder to be successful in the future.
