Smartphone helps us to learn more efficiently, and it has become an indispensable part of my study life. Every time when I come across a new word or terminology, I always take out my phone to look it up from e-dictionary or get connected online to search for its background information, I can always get quick and detailed answer.
Also, I can strengthen and expand my social network with smartphone. I use lots of social network apps like Wechat, Twitter, and Facebook to update my daily routine, and send messages to my friends.

Psychologists think that those applications rob us of stopping cues.
A stopping cue is basically a signal that tells you “it’s time to move on”, “it’s time to try something different”. For example, if you are reading newspaper, in the end, you would fold the paper away and put it aside. But today, with the technological development, we consume the media with no stopping cues, news feeds just roll on, and everything is bottomless: Wechat, facebook, text messaging, TV episodes.
YOU CAN SAY 科学研究显示，当人们在电子设备上使用dating, social networking, gaming, news, web browsing这一类application时，常常是会觉得空虚或者不开心的，因为这些APP缺乏stopping cue。当被问及科技创新对生活的negative influence时，可在答案中提到stopping cue这一点。
