同义词替换1：人们
“人们”是考生写作过程中使用到的很普遍的一个词。但是除了“people”“person”，还有哪些英语单词也表示同一意思呢？
people：individuals, the public, citizens, one, figure
☆例1：政府应该考虑到人们的利益，否则人们就有权利反对政府。
The government is supposed to consider the interests of the public, if not, citizens have the right to be against the authority.
☆例2：我们需要学校把学生培养为好人。
We need our schools to teach students to be good citizens.
同义词替换2：认为
雅思写作过程中，在表达他人观点，作者观点以及结尾重申观点时，考生都会用到“认为”这个词，然而我们不能一整篇文章都用“think”啦，不然考官一定认为这个学生平时不善于积累。

☆例1：批评者坚称这些改革会导致教育标准下降。

可能很多同学会认为“社会”类似于一个专有名词，不太具有可替换性，其实不然。但是这些词确实有一些细微差别，society所用的范围较广泛；community多用于指代“国际社会”；而“public”多指“公共场合”。

同义词替换4：“的”
写作时我们用得较多的短语还有“因......而”，那么可以表达“的，出名的”以及“名人”的词汇有哪些呢？
famous：noted, well-known, eminent, distinguished, celebrated
famous person：celebrity, luminary, legendary figure
☆例1：他不但是一位美术家，而且还是一位的作家。
Not only was he an artist, but also he was a famous writer.
☆例2：当我们在讨论那些名人时，我们都想知道他们是如何取得成功的。
When we talk about those celebrities, we all like to know how they succeed.
同义词替换5：“相信，信任”
“相信，信任”除了believe也可以用短语来表达，同学们注意积累。
believe: have belief in, have faith/trust in
☆例1：即使我们场上处境困难，我们也充分相信自己改变结果的能力。
Even though we are in a difficult position, we have belief in our ability to change the result.
