　　Milton was labeled the “science chic” in school and laughed at by other labs.When they walked home through the lane he often lagged behind the group, so he couldn't hear their laughter.His only friend was a lamb called Einstein, but he didn't have time to feel lonely.He spent most of his time in his laboratory.It was built in a deserted garage, and the landlord had asked his father to pull it down, but the latter had managed to talk him into changing his mind.The father thought that what Milton was doing was far more important than the plan for landscaping their area.Bottles with different labels largely took up the space in the garage.As soon as he got home, Milton would stay in his “office” for the latter part of the day, insert a disk into the laser player and start working.Sometimes Einstein would sit in his lap and lap milk from a plate.One day, their neighbors heard two booms, and there was a long lag between the two explosions.They looked out their windows and discovered that what used to be the garage was now an empty shell.They were talking about this improvement to the landscape when they found out from TV that Milton had worked out his own atomic bomb, and had received an invitation to do some research with NASA, which Milton had lapped up.
