　　It was the night before tickets were to be available for the football grand final.Spirits were high and a long queue had developed outside the ticket office.Fans had waited all year, hoping their team would qualify for this big event, and were now prepared to queue overnight in the hope that they could see this qualification lead to victory.

　　To fill in time, some would quiz the opposing fans about their team's achievements and failures, or conduct a quiz to see who knew the most about players.Others preferred to read the football club's magazine so they could quote statistics or read a quotation by a favorite player.Occasionally, somebody would appear to quit the lineup, but return soon after, when they risked being accused of jumping the queue.

　　The only person who didn't seem happy to be there was the hot dog man, whose quote for operating the stand didnt enable him to earn enough income to buy a ticket.
