　　It's very difficult to steer a boat in the winter.The chilly wind makes one's fingers stiff , and one needs to steer clear of floating bits of ice.However, if the river is frozen stiff, you won't have much to do.Summer is no better, with the weather sticky and the sun baking hot.There's always too much water in the river, and it's hard to stem the rushing tide with a small boat.There are also insects that sting, and if you stir those bees, you'll stir up a war that you won't lose, but you'll definitely suffer from stings.
