A Truck of Icecream一卡车冰淇淋

Mack, the longdistance truck driver, undoubtedly liked his job, but an unexpected event occurred last week that left him with the uneasy feeling of being unemployed, and that nobody in the whole universe would be likely to let him drive a truck again. Mack was driving along a deserted stretch of road during the heat of the day, when he noticed something on the road ahead, quite unlike anything he had ever seen before. Thinking it was just the unusual heat playing tricks with his eyesight, Mack kept driving. Suddenly he realized that this unique sight might be real, so he quickly sat upright as he slammed on the brakes. Unfortunately, this caused the load on the truck to shift, and the truck turned over. He was upset as he climbed out, wondering how he would be able to avoid further upset, unload a truck full of icecream in the heat, and cool himself down until help arrived. Without really wanting to upset anybody, particularly upper management, Mack decided there was only one thing he could do. He hoped there was enough unity among the universal brotherhood of truck drivers, and their union, to support a normally wellbehaved and upright citizen like himself, in what he was about to do.


长途卡车司机马克无疑挺喜欢他的工作，但上个星期一个意外事件却让他担心会失业，而且全世界也可能不会再有人让他开卡车了。那天天气正热，马克行驶在一段偏僻的路上，突然他发现前面路上有点什么，它完全不像他以前见过的任何东西。马克以为可能是少有的炎热让他花了眼，所以他继续开着车。突然他意识到这极不寻常的东西可能是真的，所以他一边猛力踩刹车一边很快坐直了。不幸的是，这使车上装的货移动了位置，卡车翻了。他从车里爬出来的时候心烦得要命，心想如何才能避免更加心烦，大热天要卸下一卡车冰淇淋，还要在有人赶来救援之前使自己保持冷静。马克真的不想打扰别人，尤其是不想打扰上面的管理人员，他觉得他只能做一件事情。马克希望卡车司机们有足够的团结，全体司机兄弟和他们的工会能够帮帮他这个一向行为端正、正直守法的公民，支持他准备做的事情。
