e.g. For many children, online games have become digital heroin, distracting them from studying and real-life interactions.

3.dopamine /'dəʊpəmiːn/

多巴胺;a chemical in the brain that plays a key role in reward, motivation, and pleasure.

搭配：trigger/ stimulate dopamine 促进多巴胺分泌

a dopamine hit 一次多巴胺刺激

e.g. Social media is like digital opium. It constantly feeds users content that triggers dopamine release in the brain.

e.g. People get a dopamine hit every time they receive likes on social media.

4.traffic /'træfɪk/

（网页的）访问量；（系统的）使用人数

搭配：boost/ attract traffic 获得流量

e.g. Internet traffic can cause slower response times during peak hours.

e.g. Social media platforms attract massive traffic every day, which makes them ideal for online marketing.

e.g. Some social media influencers use provocative dance videos to increase website or platform traffic.
