最近，有同学问了这样一道题“Describe a friend from your childhood”。聊到这个话题就不得不提到我在童年时期认识的一位好朋友，他叫Callum。小时候我们一家搬去了苏格兰，在新的地方我感到非常陌生。但我非常幸运地结识了Callum，我跟他上的是同一所小学和中学，几乎每天都在一起玩耍。我跟他在一起会做哪些事儿呢？咱们一起来聊一聊吧～
我真的很感谢Callum帮助我找到了足球的天赋和激情。他还帮助我在一个新的地方安顿下来，让我不再感到陌生和拘谨。

I’d like to describe an old childhood friend called Callum who I haven’t talked to for quite some time.
During my childhood, my parents moved our family from England to Scotland. At first, I was quite lonely in the new city we’d moved to.  However, when I met my friend Callum at school, we started to hang out almost every day. Callum and I attended the same elementary school and secondary school so we developed quite the bond. We clicked immediately, not only because our personalities meshed well together, but also due to the fact that we seemingly had the exact same hobbies and interests.
We would walk to school together every morning, and play video games or golf at the weekends. After classes, we would play football on the school playground where we became quite skilled, competitive, and athletic.
One day, some older students were hanging out and watching us play. They suggested we try out for the local football team. Being younger than the other players, I didn’t think we would make the squad. However, the coach was very impressed with us and we ended up starting every game. I was so proud to wear that white and red shirt and enjoyed the team spirit and comradery.
I really appreciate Callum for helping me to find my talent and passion for football. He also helped me to settle down in a new place and made me feel at home. Unfortunately, over the years I’ve lost touch with Callum, but I will always look back at that time with fond memories and be thankful to him.
