最近,有同学问了这样一道题“Describe an Activity you enjoyed in your free time when you were young”。

When I was younger, one of my favorite activities to do in my free time was reading. I would spend hours immersed in the world of books, exploring new places and meeting new characters.
I remember spending countless afternoons at the library with my sister, who also loves to read, browsing through the shelves and picking out new books to read. I would take them home and curl up on the couch or in my bed, losing myself in the story.
One of my favorite series of books when I was younger was the Left Behind series by Tim LeHaye and Jerry Jenkins. I was captivated by the way these two authors brought the future seven-year period of God’s wrath being poured out on the Earth to life in their books. I would eagerly anticipate the release of each new book and would devour it in a matter of days.
Reading was not only a source of entertainment for me, but it also helped me develop my language skills and vocabulary. As I read more and more, I found that my writing and communication skills improved as well.
In today's digital age, reading seems to have taken a back seat to other forms of entertainment such as social media and video games. However, I still make it a point to read regularly, and I attribute my love for reading to the countless hours I spent lost in a good book when I was younger.
Overall, reading was a cherished activity of mine in my free time when I was younger, and it has had a lasting impact on my life.
