　　vacation, holiday, leave，day off都可以表示“假期、休息”，但也有区别

　　Vacation：可作名词和动词

　　作名词时，一般表示比较长的假期,多指大学的假期

　　如：

　　summer vacation 暑假

　　winter vacation 寒假

　　The job includes two weeks' paid vacation.

　　这份工作包括两周的带薪假期。

　　作动词时，意思是度假

　　He looked tanned and well rested after his vacation.

　　作为名词时，意为假期; 假日，节日(尤指国家庆典日)

　　She was holidaying with her family in Ireland.

　　1、 ask for leave

　　I have to ask for leave tomorrow morning.

　　我明天上午得请假了。

　　此外：

　　grant leave 意为“准假”

　　I will be very grateful if you grant my leave.

　　如果您能准假我会非常感激。

　　paid leave 意为“带薪休假”

　　For most of these companies, providing paid leave isn’t much of a stretch.
