1、雅思培训：不同文化中的笑点
在英语中貌似没有直接表达笑点的词，一般说一个人笑点低，就是说that guy has a weird sense of humour.而punch line这个词在这个话题中则是必不可少的。Punch line用中文讲，就是像“康熙来了”里面指的“梗”，或如相声里的“包袱”，专指令人发笑的那个点，特别是那些妙语连珠的话。
而在不同文化中的比较来讲，个人会觉得，美国文化中的笑点，多偏向于wit and humour. If somebody's talk gleamed with wit and humour, he/she would be considered attractive.这就是为什么不论是总统的演讲还是奥斯卡等仪式，站在话筒前的人总是会开些无伤大雅的玩笑（light-hearted banter),而美国喜剧中最出彩的笑点则是些令人回味的双关语（pun）。而英国绅士淑女们则偏向于黑色幽默（black humour）和冷幽默（dry humour）。而谈及举世闻名的英式幽默（the British sense of humour），不得不提的就是讽刺（irony）。英剧小不列颠-- Little Britain可是连首相都拿来开涮的（poke fun at sb.，make fun of sb.）。当然由于欧美文化比较开放，其中笑点不乏黄段子（dirty joke）。而相比之下亚洲文化更为保守（conservative）。很少出现政治笑话（political joke），说些玩笑话（say something in jest）也不会太过分（go too far;over the line）。
2、雅思培训：描述一个礼貌的场合或情景
可能会有考生觉得这个话题不好说。一般来讲需要有礼貌（being well-mannered）的场合（occasion）是公共场所（public areas, public place）。You need to show your politeness/manners，humbleness and modesty，especially for young people.尤其从小家长就教育我们要有table manners。当有领导leader，长辈elder，和陌生人stranger在场的时候，要表示尊重show respect，留个好印象（make a good impression）。而其中这种描述的场合就可以引到考生已经准备好的话题，如餐厅，家庭聚餐，甚至是你最想去的国外的地方，因为在国外你not just represent yourself, but also your nation.
3、雅思培训：交流方式的改变
这种话题在写作中其实经常出现，所以考生们大可不用慌张。常见的作文题目有信件是否会消失，而口语话题则是手机对你生活的影响。Personally speaking I still think that face-to-face communication is better than other types of communication. Of course there are various ways to communicate in modern society, but people should also be aware that the modern modes of communication cannot take the place of traditional ones. 具体的改变自然是由face to face, mail到telephone，email，internet。优点的话，more efficient, can save a lot of time,can deliver information in time.缺点的话可以说safety,because of hackers.太没人情味（impersonal）。
4、雅思培训：描述一件开心的事情。
这个话题如果没有准备的话临时说大概会觉得尴尬。其实可以套用准备了的话题如：家庭聚餐，家庭照片（家人团聚所以觉得开心），旅游，礼物等。如果家庭聚会方面的前面加上My parents are career-oriented, they are very busy and barely have time for family union.很珍惜（cherish/appreciate) the moment we share together.
5、雅思培训：孩子从老师或父母那儿学到的东西
这个话题与某人教会你最重要的东西差不多，建议是多从personality的角度出发。除了knowledge,professional skills，更重要是学会being responsible, being punctual, be willing to help others, always be honest,以及respect everybody.选一个觉得容易举例的话题。家长和老师should set a good example for children。If you want your kid to be responsible, then you should be responsible yourself. There is an old saying goes that parents are the best teachers.Parents/teachers are eager to pass their value to their children/students.
