　　一、简洁

　　1. 含义：

　　语法规则表达准确，并且句子结构表达简洁。

　　2. 类型：

　　(1) 简洁题 - 有效的书写规则2

　　3. 用法

　　(1) 表原因用because最简洁, because和why等因果词，在一句内不重复。

　　例句1: The reason why he left college was that his health became impaired.

　　例句2: He left college because his health became impaired.

　　解析：例句1和2表示内容一致，但例句1中有reason, why语义重复，而例句2的because表示最简洁。

　　例句3: The only reason why she did not divorce him after his affair was because of their daughter.

　　例句4: She did not divorce him after his affair only because of their daughter.

　　解析：例句1和2表示内容一致，但例句1中有reason, why和because of语义重复，而例句2的because of表示最简洁。

　　(2) 插入语中who be, which be不选。

　　例句1: His brother, who had been a member of the same firm for three years, quit last year.

　　例句2: His brother, a member of the same firm for three years, quit last year.

　　解析：例句1和2表示内容一致，但例句1中有用了who had been从句的形式，而例句2用了a member of短语的形式，故例句2更简洁。
