In Plain Sight在显眼的地方

  Heading inland away from the island prison and to freedom the former prison inmate injected some more of the fuel into the intake container of the boat he had made from bamboo. His innovation had been to make the boat during his innumerable escape attempts before and hide it in an inlet near the section where insane prisoners were kept.
  Now he was glad that he suffered from insomnia, because during the night, when all in the prison were sleeping, he discovered his innate ability to work with tools that would be instrumental in his escape. Those sleepless times became his periods of innovative activity. And the plan came to him instantaneously one night as he was making an inscription on his wall with a fork. His inspiration was the material that insulated his room. The insulation was there in front of him for all to see, and no one ever noticed it. That was how he hid his bamboo boat—in front of everyone in the busy inlet.
  He initiated the plan the next day. After adding many small installments during countless short escapes that no one ever found out about, the boat was intact and ready to be used. Nothing inhibited his escape when the boat was finished. He only had to steal one motor and a liter of gas. Now he was free. And they would never catch him because he would continue to live by his inspiration—he would find a way to live in plain sight.
