　　2月13日，世界卫生组织给这次疫情正式命名。

　　“We now have a name for the 2019nCoV disease: COVID-19

　　4)虽然没有解释数字19的含义，但应该表示爆发的时间——2019年。

　　另外，COVID-19的名字很好发音，COVID 可以念成 /kəʊvɪd/，19可以念 nineteen。需要注意的是，COVID-19的是指的这次新型冠状病毒的疫情，而不是指新型冠状病毒。

　　英国此前针对新冠疫情曾表示考虑采用“群体免疫”，即人群或牲畜群体对传染的抵抗力。如果群体中有70%—80%的动物有抵抗力，就不会发生大规模的爆发流行。而这里的群体免疫英文即为herd immunity，也可称为group immunity。

　　为了遏制疫情的发展，西方开始提出社交距离，也就是英文中的social distancing。根据CDC的建议，建议两人之间保持最短6英尺(2米)的社交距离。

　　Zoombombing

　　疫情发展导致世界各地停学，线上教学也就火起来了，就有了线上会议工具Zoom，比如国内的钉钉。

　　随即又出现了网络安全问题，由于Zoom的一些课程设置为公开，任何人都可以加入，所以就出现一些“黑客”进入课程强制分享色情视频或歧视、仇恨相关的内容。

　　Zoombombing指的正是这类“劫课”行为，即Zoom+bombing(炸弹)。

　　Zoom公司在努力加强其安全性，并提供相应的安全指南，包括建立私密链接，慎重开通屏幕分享等。FBI已发出警告，这种行为已被认定为网络犯罪。
