　　Some people prefer teamwork when they do creative jobs. Others prefer individual work when they do such jobs.

　　Which do you prefer?

　　At work or in study, there often are creative tasks. Some prefer to do these taskscollaboratively, and their preference is justifiable. However, I am inclined to individual work as a more desirable approach.

　　Admittedly, one necessary characteristic of creative jobs is that theyconsume time and patience, because such jobs are unprecedented andsetbacks and disappointments often interrupt the process. And if there are teammates, there are support and cooperation to attain the goal.

　　However, compared with individual work, teamwork has obvious drawbacks, andaccordingly, individual work is advantageous. First, when a group of people do a creative job together, each individual is likely to be excessively creative. As a result, instead of creating a uniform and eclectic idea, participants are more likely to hold divergent ideas, and the divergence delays decision-making. By contrast, this unfavorable situation is unlikely to happen to an individual who does a creative job alone. No matter how creative this individual is or howbold an idea is, he or she does not have to argue with others, and a decision can be made easily as no one interferes with his or her decision-making.

　　Working on a creative task alone [分词状语], one also avoids theawkwardness that [同位语从句] he or she may have to persuadeconservative teammates if there is a team. It is highly likely that [主语从句] a group consists of both members who are able to think out of the box and members who are stuck in tacky ideas. It takes a lot of talk and energy to persuade those old-schooled members to innovate. Not to mention the likelihood that the efforts may turn out to be failures. Conversely, working independently saves the energy.

　　In conclusion, it is plausible that some people tend to do creative tasks on a team or in a group. They have their considerations, which however do not justify their choice. Individual work, in comparison, is more recommendable for its advantages.
