　　These days, children spend much time on doing homework or participating in organized activities related to school or sports. However, they should be given more time to do whatever they want.”

　　Introduction

　　加快开头的“信息流”（内容进展速度，换句话说，不要太多废话）： Today’s children have a timetable that is full of classes, assignments, and other plenty of organized activities that are extracurricular yet school-related, and many of them are found to be overloaded (选词时注意：没有直接说“累”，而是说“负载”). It is exactly for this reason that they should have more freedom – more time – to do whatever as they please.

　　个理由（从consequences的角度切入）： If this situation continues, the immediate consequence is that children are likely to be fed up with school, and the aversion may be strong. This would be an certainly undesirable case that schoolwork is counterproductive and contradicts its original intent that doing the assignments and activities should help study. 道理的总述至此结束，接下来做，论证方式上的“二选一”：1）细化道理；2）举例映证道理。 One of my past experiences well illustrates this point. (引出例子的时候，完全可以摆脱“For example/instance”之类的措辞) Last year, I was upset with the situation of an elementary school where I did a three-month internship. The students spent eight hours in the classroom and two hours in the organized after-school activities, and had a maximum of merely one hour for themselves. Curious about the effect of this timetable, I interviewed a number of students, and many of the interviewees either show no interest in their study or even hate their teachers and books. 　　笼统总结全文（框架）：In light of the above, if we do not change the current busy schedule of children, there would be adverse consequences. The change would contrarily bring about advantageous results.

　　重申立场：Our children are in desperate need of more time they can arrange by themselves.
