There are many news stories about current events that help people take a break from reading or listening to the news for a few days or weeks.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?

It is beneficial to stop reading and listening to the news for a few days or weeks.

If you spend some time on browsing news agencies even the most professional ones, it is easy to find out that today’s news is full of excessive repetition.【短句写腻了，那就来个长句做关键句：需要注意的地方是尽量把细节补充上去加强句子的指向性】 When there is a break new, hardly can any reporter refuse the broadcasting of the piece of information, which may sound like a positive thing for people as they can get the message from diverse channels. However, the actual situation isin no sense a good deed. This is because behind the various reporting is usually the copy or worse plagiarism, which means for viewers the time is wasted due to the exactly same version.【每次都写具体的例子，今天换一换风格，用一个非具体的例子做论点支撑】Under this situation, tapping a pause button [用一个俏皮的说法做同意替换] on obtaining news is a wise choice since the nonsensical information can be filtered out during the time.

Another reason why people should have a break in reading news is to avoid too much negativity from media. 【这个关键句的重点在negativity,在关键句中使用名词化概括可以让下面的文章更好延展】In order to attract more readers, either the newspaper or online media is obsessed in reporting bad news like the casualtyin natural disasters or details in vicious crimes and some of them intentionally apply the tricks in reporting such as exaggerating the details or adding mercilesspictures.【给个小例子，省心又省力】If the content were the necessity, audience would get a better understanding of the events, but it is not and what is more, 【反驳的方法除了转折词，也可尝试复杂句型，用一个虚拟过渡】 keeping receiving the modified information may drive people depressed even cause some social panic if things are not get rectified immediately. This is definitely not the reason we read news and having a rest may be better.
