　　As soon as the three proposed options are presented, the first one is immediately abandoned. The immediate opposition to the first proposal is that parents may hardly have time or patience to actually monitor the whole process of their children’s doing homework assignments. As for the third one, it provokes my strong objection, largely because I am a teacher. Not only does it add much work, meaningless work to my job, it also puts me in a rather awkward position and makes me the easy target for students’ aversion. Before I elaborate on those two abandoned proposals, I should point out the logic of the second option, and the logic, crude yet simple, also well accounts for my approval to this option: students are certainly at liberty to choose their ways of doing homework assignments, the honest or the dishonest, and it is therefore only students themselves and no one else who should deal with “the business” entailed or prevent the business from happening in the first place.
