B站刷屏的《后浪》英文可不是“the waves behind”，这样说老外可不懂！

　　这两天，B站的一条名为视频《后浪》的宣传视频，刷爆了朋友圈。这支宣传片全文只有600多字，时长不到4分钟，经由国家一级演员何冰动情演绎，给人留下深刻印象。

　　随着老戏骨何冰声情并茂的演讲，视频里有两句话，看得人热血翻涌：

　　“你们拥有了，我们曾经梦寐以求的权利，选择的权利。你们有幸，遇见这样的时代。但是时代更有幸，遇见这样的你们。”

　　可也是这两句话，却在微博、公众号、朋友圈引来无数群嘲。

　　“后浪”一词也火了起来。

　　那么“后浪”的英语怎么说呢?

　　我们知道，“后浪”来源于一句古诗：长江后浪推前浪。

　　这里，“后浪”比喻年轻一代。

　　所以如果没有前后语境(解释)，直接把“后浪”翻译成“the waves behind”或者“the rear waves”，由于缺乏文化背景，老外是无法理解的。

　　一般而言，可以把“后浪”的本体直接翻译出来，也就是“年轻人”、“新世代”、“年轻一辈”。这么一想，其实“后浪”的英语就非常简单，可以翻译为young people; youngsters; new generation; younger generation。

　　值得注意的是，美国人还有一个习惯，就是会把70后说成generation X;80后说成generation Y;90后说成generation Z。

　　另外，顺便记一个词：Millennials(千禧一代)，指1981-1996之间出生的那一代人，一个词涵盖80、90后两代人。
