上一期，我们给大家留一个思考题。提示大家找出“时间问题”来分析，于是可以练习和熟悉分析“时间问题”的思路1和思路2。Passage如下：

In a study of the reading habits of Waymarsh citizens conducted by the University of Waymarsh, most respondents said that they preferred literary classics as reading material. However, a second study conducted by the same researchers found that the type of book most frequently checked out of each of the public libraries in Waymarsh was the mystery novel. Therefore, it can be concluded that the respondents in the first study had misrepresented their reading habits.

Write a response in which you discuss what specific evidence is needed to evaluate the argument and explain how the evidence would weaken or strengthen the argument.

There is no clear indication, in the passage, of when those two studies were carried out. Due to the lack of this crucial piece of information, it is reasonable to suspect that the two studies were conducted at two different times between which there was an interval of a considerable length. And, if there was such a period of time, people’s preference for their reading material may have changed over that period. As a result, the two studies had reached accurate conclusions that are both accurate yet reflect different preferences at different times.

* 首先，大家可能发现：这个passage中的“时间问题”比较隐晦，因为没有明确的关于时间描述的字眼给大家提示。但是，我们还是发现了问题。

* 同时。在参考答案中，大家（通过下划线部分的内容）可以发现：两种分析“时间问题”的思路（1、不同时间点/段，可能有不同的情况；2、两个时间点之间的一段时间内可能发生情况的改变）都有体现。这个参考答案的段落是用两种思路结合的方式写的。

至此，就“时间问题”展开分析的两个常用思路，我们已经用两期文章做了个比较详细的解读。接下来，我们会看到“地点问题”的分析思路的总结和套路。
