「Task 2」

In many countries, more and more fathers are staying at home to look after children, while mothers work full-time. What are the reasons? Is it positive or negative?

To commence, it is the unprecedented social progress that acts as a catalyst^成因 for the new change. More precisely, the socio-economic status ^{社会经济地位}of females has been promoted, since the long-time stereotypes ^{模式化观念}have been eliminated^消除. Having more access to being educated, some of the females, especially those who desire to have a flying start in career ^{idiom:大展宏图}, choose to fully tap their potentials in the workplace and thus work full-time, as the living pressure has been surging ^激增. / Besides, those fathers who have once been full-time workers may likewise stay at home looking after babies because never can a child grow sound with a father’s sheer absence ^{措辞小技巧：双重否定表肯定}.

Although some conservatives ^n.保守派may deem such revolution contradictory to ^{有悖于-宾补现象} the convention, the society does advance. ^{<长句之后赶紧一个短句缓一下行文节奏>} This is undeniable, and the shift of parental roles is no exception ^{idiom:毫不例外}. → [explanation] As a matter of fact, mutual respect lays a firm foundation for a sound family relationship. [elaboration] In another word, as long as a parent wants to assume the responsibilities to look after children or to deal with housework and simultaneously^同时地 is adept at doing ^擅长做them, then his or her personal preference should be undoubtedly respected. Similarly, if a mother wants be a social butterfly ^{idiom:社交蝴蝶}and shows great potentials, she can pursue her own dreams. →^{实物pron.=指代前文现象} This mode satisfies the demand of each family member, is beneficial to the sound development of a relationship, and naturally promotes the social harmony. ^{平行结构值得注意}

At this point, the conclusion is quite crystal-clear ^{清晰明了的}. Since the reasons have been enumerated^列举above, the new trend is favorable to both family and the whole society.
