Some people think that government funding for schools should be spent on science subjects rather than on other subjects.

To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Since the ultimate purpose of education is to cultivate qualified citizens for the future, social subjects have become as influential as science subjects in modern circumstances.

*个问题：形容词的使用。ultimate，的，这个程度有点吓人。qualified去修饰citizens，仿佛不受教育就不配拥有公民权一般。

* 第二个问题：因果关系之间的信息有一个很大的，当然，噱头可能因此创造出来了。但是，这个却也给读者造成极大的困惑。所以，这个因果关系，嗯，值得商榷吧。其实，我觉得只要原因状语从句里的形容词更准确，就可以与主句中描述的结果有呼应，句子的逻辑就顺畅了。

* 第三个问题：circumstances？意义又太小了呢。还是society或者time才好吧。

* 第四个问题：for the future和modern circumstances中，future和modern，给人感觉时间上欠一致性。

* 第五个问题：整个句子读起来，表达繁琐了。

Education is to cultivate cultured citizens, and social sciences are to fulfill this purpose.

* be to 就可以表目的，而不一定说成the purpose of xxx is blah blah blah。
