　　很多同学拿到这个题目可能觉得匪夷所思。在中国，父母都巴不得孩子一天48小时都学习，怎么还会有人“变态地”提出，孩子应该少学习，而多花时间从事学习外的体力活动呢？

　　念及于此，相信多数同学会直接来一个：No! 我不同意这种说法！孩子不学习，怎么考高分？怎么上清华北大？怎么上哈佛剑桥？怎么成为社会栋梁？

　　理由千千万，都是一点：孩子应该多花时间学习。

　　这样写，有没有问题？

　　当然有问题！因为，这样写根本没有回应题目中的另外一个观点，即：学生应该多从事体力活动。

　　因此，如果采取一边倒的观点，即论证“孩子应该多花时间学习”，那么就必须说清楚为什么孩子不应该多花时间从事体力活动，而要论证这一点，其实是很困难的。

　　这样，老雅建议大家用“双边讨论+自己的观点”来讨论本题。

　　段：Introduction

　　第二段：孩子们应该花时间学习。Children should spend enough time on their academic study. 这个不难论证。孩子需要多花时间学习，这样才能给自己打好基础，为接受高等教育做准备。As the competition in job market has become increasingly intensified, a university degree is now a must for most job seekers.

　　第三段：孩子们应该从事体力活动。体力活动可以让发育中的孩子们身心更健康，这是孩子们继续求学的基础保障，并能在体力活动中培养合作精神和领导才能（leadership）。

　　第四段：我的观点。对孩子而言，学习和体力活动都很重要。我觉得，对于小学阶段的孩子而言，他们应该花更多时间在体力活动中，而对于中学阶段的孩子而言，花在学习上的时间或许应该更多。但无论对那个年龄段的孩子，在学习和体力活动中寻找到平衡，都是非常重要的。（It is important for children of all ages to strike a balance bewtween their study and physical activities.)

　　As companies keep moving across borders, globalization has become a reality since 1960s, but I do not think globalization benefits everyone, though it is beneficial to many of us.

　　Globalization leads to competition at a global level, which enables us to enjoy products of higher quality and lower prices. If we had to spend a lot of money purchasing a car of local brand, then the price may be halved with the importation of cars from other countries where the production cost is much lower. To local automobile manufacturers, this may be devastating at first, yet eventually it may turn out a blessing rather than a curse, because the imported cars may actually compel them to improve their products and thus make them more competitive in the international market.

　　But globalization may also impact us negatively in multiple ways. Firstly, it leads to job insecurity. This impact is mostly felt in developed countries since they can outsource cheaper white collar and manufacturing jobs. For example, wages and manufacturing costs are lower in India and China, making countries like US and UK to outsource cheaper labor. The effect is that people in the US and the UK have fewer jobs.

　　Globalization also produces negative effects on the natural environment we live in.  Increased production means increasedutilization of natural resources. Besides, increased trade calls for increased transport, which uses fossil fuels. As a result, pollution has increased, leading to climate change, which is now a serious threat to humanity and the future of the world.

　　Finally, globalization may lead to loss of local culture.Ideally, the coming together of various cultures should make the world a better place, but in reality it is just the other way round. In many parts of the world, the local culture disappears with the domination of another culture.

　　To conclude, despite the benefits globalization brings to us, it is by no means something that benefits us all.
