　　Two cities saw a rising trend in rental costs. Specifically,Sydneyranked the top, with the average cost of apartments rising slightly from $520 to $530. whilethat of houses growing remarkably from $520 to $550. Melbourne followed a similar trend, withapartment rents rising modestly from $390 to $405 and house rents increasingfrom $400 to $420.
