The charts below show the percentages of forest area and the percentage of timbers produced in six regions in 2010.

Shown in the pair of pies are six areas in terms of their proportion of wooded lands and the production of timber ensuing from it. The year of 2010 is investigated. 

注意首句的倒装现象。

注意词汇：不及物动词ensue (from)

In 2010, it is most notable that South America stood out for its particularly high level of vegetation, with approximately one third of wooded areas. Russia- with 25% of its region occupied by forests – was the second largest forest owner. These two regions contrasted sharply with all others – Asia, Africa, Europe and North America – whose districts of forests ranged from 8% to15%.

三句话呈现第1个饼的特征。

第1句话，使用形式主语，突出*大数值，然后跟上独立主格结构补充说明百分比。

第二句用了常规主语，但是在句式设计上加入了巧思，把介绍百分比的内容写成了插入的语法形式，整句话表达的意思是“Russia 是第二大森林所有地区”; 同时, 这一特征的总结“ the second largest ”构建了与第1句之间的联系。

Of all those forest owners, two major manufacturers of timber were Russia and South America. Their productions made up 25% and 22% respectively, and either percentage was roughly equivalent to that of the productions of North America and Europe combined. It is also worth mentioning that timber yielded by Asia and Africa were of almost the same amount. 

主语的多样：三个句子的主语各不相同。

避免单一且重复的表达，即列举“什么地区产出了多少木材”。

第三句是形式主语替代主语从句。

Overall, the differences are apparent between one region and another in both the exploitation of forests and the production of timber.
