When writing dream lists, a large number of people would include traveling around the world. Overseas trips can be not only entertaining but also enriching. Thus, I strongly recommend people to travel abroad when they are younger for that will bring far more benefits than if they put off their travel plans.
Some people may say that it is better to take an international trip when one is older because he or she will have a higher income then compared with early days. However, in my opinion, it is young people who have more allocated money when travelling. Despite a fatter paycheck, the middle-aged and the elderly usually need to support a family and make careful financial plans for themselves and their children. Thus, they are quite careful about their spending, especially those that are not basic or necessary. This is why some middle-class parents don’t buy expensive clothes or the latest electronic gadgets frequently. Imagine how tight their travel budget can be! Unlike them, young people only need to take care of themselves. Also, under some circumstances, they can even turn to their parents for help. Therefore, young people actually spend more freely on traveling and thus are more likely to enjoy a better trip.
Moreover, young people are physically stronger, so they can deal with all the troubles during tips. As is known, traveling abroad can be quite exhausting. For instance, I once traveled to Europe with my mom. We took a 10-hour flight from Shanghai to Paris and almost 2hours from CDG airport to the hotel we booked. When we finally put down our luggage on the floor, I wanted to go around and enjoy some local food, but my mom almost couldn’t keep her eyes open. She skipped her supper and had a long, long sleep until the next morning. Similar things happened during our trip since we had to take buses or trains every now and then; worse, sometimes we had to walk for a long time due to inconvenient public transportation. In the end, my mom said although Europe was truly beautiful, but she was so tired that she didn’t want to travel abroad in the near future. On the contrary, although I was also not quite comfortable during the trip, I could handle all the difficulties and wished that I could stay there and experienced more new things.
The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page. For better experience and more insights, people should visit different countries, and I do believe they’d better start at an early age than waiting until they are older.
