题目Some people agree that the best way to become successful in life is to get the university education. Others disagree with it and reckon that nowadays it is no longer true. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

It is increasingly pervasive that people are making the choice to attend university. Although some maintain that being successful does not necessarily hinge on a college degree, I still hold the view that higher education should be deemed as one of the most pivotal elements of individuals’ prospects.

It is no doubt that a diploma is not indispensable to the achievements in some domains, compared to those practical skills related to work experience, interpersonal communication and leadership. There are some well-known CEOs who have set up enterprises throughout the world without tertiary education. However, for most people, especially job hunters, a college degree is still a rite of passage.

The reasons for this trend may involve the recognition that the variety of courses offered at university such as mathematics inspires students in various ways, thus improving their analytical ability, one of the most critical factor of success. With the enhancement of logical thinking, graduates can gain problem-solving skills, facing future challenges with more confidence and enthusiasm.

More importantly, when it comes to job hunting, enjoying university education puts people one step ahead of others who do not. Such competitive edge in workplaces shows how significant this level of education is for people’future work opportunities. In the fields of law, medicine or teaching, for example, it is impossible to succeed for people without required educational background.

Overall, we shall not say succeeding in lives and careers must come from attending university, but to most people the pursuit of education is paramount to the future success in todays world.
