2017年7月2日托福写作题目
“The city wants to help teachers of its high school students (ages 14—18) improve their teaching. It is considering two choices:
1. Choose a group of excellent teachers; these teachers will attend a class led by an expert for additional training in how to teach effectively, and they will then come back to their schools and provide that training for the other teachers in the school.
2. Provide additional training in teaching effectively for all high school teachers, using online material that each teacher will study individually. Which one of these plans would you support? Why?”
本市想初高中老师的教学水平，正考虑以下两个方案， 请问你支持哪一个，并说明理由：
1. 甄选一批老师外出培训，请授课，讲解如何让课堂更有效果。受训完毕后，这些老师返校给其他老师培训。

题目长不长，只能靠遐想。

本场题目，据新航道考生反应，题干本身包含字数97字，霸占整屏3/4，可见其长度令人瞠舌。
但是此题并不是托福有史以来最长，因为它早在去年 2016年7月10日 的考试中就已经出现。
7月2日托福写作解析
这道题目其实只要看完，并不难写。可惜的是人被长度吓到，一顿乱写。
选择个方案，最容易由 group 这个词想到一个理由：人多好办事。
一群老师上课，肯定会相互讨论，交流想法，这样能更快吸收的先进理论。而他们回来给普通老师培训，也是大家凑在一块上课，同样方便即时交流。另外，老师先去学习高深复杂的理论，会消化得，回来再去教给其他老师，这些老师也会理解更透彻。当然这种受训方式也有弊端，比如要安排统一的培训时间，甚至还有各种差旅费，既耗时又耗钱。
选择第二个方案，最容易由 online 想到时间上是更灵活的，每个老师都能根据自己的时间合理安排学习。另外老师也能根据自己所需去选择材料学习，而不是被动接受所讲的所有理论。当然，自行网上学习也有弊，比如刚提到的无法及时跟其他老师交流，并且可能出现的情况是有的老师学得很快学的，但是其他老师就相对差一些。
