1.整体布局：总-分-总结构
总-分-总结构是最容易接受的逻辑，符合人的思考习惯。具体到托福写作中，要求我们按照总说观点-分条论述(举例)-再次总结的三个步骤，整体安排文章的结构。
对于写作来说，一篇好的文章要遵循句子和句子之间，段落和段落之间的衔接和连贯。一篇好文章并不是句子的机械堆砌，而是一个有机整体，句子和句子之间是存在严谨的逻辑关系的。
2.分论点之间：归纳分组或逻辑递进
在写分论点时，有且只有两种逻辑，即归纳和演绎(逻辑递进)。
归纳逻辑要求分论点之间有共性、能并列或者可对比，在托福写作中可以呈现为：on one hand... on the other hand，firstly...secondly...finally (thirdly)，on the contrary等等。
演绎逻辑要求分论点之间或某个论点之中各句话之间有逻辑递进关系，比如推出、因果、转折等等，常用连词有that refers to，it indicates that，however，therefore，as a result等等。
2.以疑问-启发式的逻辑展开
这一逻辑类似语文作文中的设问，我们都知道设问的好处是引起下文，引起读者兴趣。在托福写作中也是一样，具体来说，应遵循背景-问题-什么影响(怎么解决)的思路来展开。这样会使读者自然而然地理解你的观点。
