遇到这种情况，一白也是脑阔疼，每次看题都要看很久。直观上来看，数学的题目变得更长了，阅读量明显加大，虽然20词或更少的题目并不是没有，但50词以上的题目明显变多，而100词以上甚至200词以上题目的出现。在旧SAT是很难想象的，这种题目形式上的变化是和题目考察内容的变化紧密相关的，因为在新SAT更重视数学知识点在实际生活的应用，要求同学能够解读数学表达式中具体系数、变量和常数代表的实际意义或图像意。
第二：单词是重点
要解决题目阅读上的问题，首先要回到最基本的单词上。因为SAT数学的知识点范围固定，所以数学的专业单词也有固定范围，上课时会给同学相应的单词表背诵，必须保证对英文的快速反应，数学单词不能临时结合上下午语境靠猜，这样直接导致做题速度变慢，而且如果猜错会影响题目理解。
部分熟悉的单词在在数学里也有专有的含义，比如product有乘积的含义、range在函数中代表值域，在统计中代表极差，所以必须要保证英文单词单独出现时，也可以准确说出单词意思。
第三：理解题意
基本的单词如果没有问题，就到了下一步——句意理解，如果句意不是很清楚，先从基本的句子的主干即主谓宾或主系表入手，然后分析句子中各成分的修饰限制关系。一定不要有遗漏，遗漏的部分很可能是一个限制条件，遗漏条件会直接对题目理解产生偏差。如果对最后问题的问句理解产生问题，可以把疑问词替换成一个不必准确的结果，把句子还原成陈述句语序，再理解一下题意会有所帮助。还有一些特殊的数学表达，比如比较表达法，要注意总结基本句式，然后带入具体语境理解方可。
题意完全理解后，题目已经可以当成一道中文数学题处理了，剩下的就是用数学知识点解决问题了，新SAT数学在考察知识点上更专注于代数部分，附加其余一些零散知识点，这里不再详述，大家参考SAT的官方指南4个数学知识点章节部分复习即可，注意一些平时接触较少知识点如置信区间、复数等，知识点范围固定，只要全部复习到就不会有问题，对薄弱项目加强练习即可。
还有部分同学在做实际生活类题目时，题意了解后，对题目的数学抽象提取不够好，不能准确的把语言文字转换成数学表达式，这部分能力需要对题目的分析归类强化，如何设置未知数，一个数学代数式中变量、系数和常数项的特定实际意义是什么，在不同生活场景中有不同的使用方式，新SAT数学特别强调要会以实际生活为背景构建一次函数和指数函数的表达式，具体的方法会在上课时重点讲解，大家课后重点练习复习即可。
