The hotel I'd like to describe for you today is called The Peninsula. It's a small chain of luxury hotels that are found around the world, but the one I'll describe for you today is in Hong Kong. When I stayed there, a few years ago now, it was supposed to be the best hotel in Asia.
I don't know if you are familiar with Hong Kong at all, but the hotel is on the Kowloon(九龙)side，rather than actually on Hong Kong island. It's basically opposite Causeway Bay(铜锣湾)and the Yacht club， another famous place there.
As for what the hotel looks like, from the outside, especially during the day,it doesn't look all that impressive;at night it's better because it's lit up by a multitude of coloured lights.It's the inside that gives you that "wow" factor.When you walk in the front door，the lobby is simply，well， ginormous(极大的).I mean， properly huge. It feels as though you walk half a mile to get to the reception desk.With marble flooring and two huge staircases at the back leading up and thelobby lounge on your left, I can understand why they called it Asia's crown hotel.
The facilities are fairly standard, by which I mean that they're fairly typical for a Five-star hotel. They have a Spa and a pool that looks over Hong Kong.One thing that I loved though was the helipad on top of the hotel. You could buy a Heli- Tour of the island. It was the first time I'd ever been in a helicopter before and when we lifted off and started our flight,I felt like I was on cloud nine, literally. It was absolutely fantastic.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others to stay in,but yo remember if's a little bit pricey, so not everyone can afford it. But if you only stay there one night.I'd say it's definitely worth it.
