What kinds of people are most famous in your country today?
Actors / actress, singers, scientists, sports athletes, internet celebrities.
People who are so devoted to a passion that they become famous for it.
politicians who run countries, provinces, and cities.
scientists who are still seeking out wonders of the humanity and universe, especially those who scarifies him or herself defeating the wide spread COVID-19 pandemic.
Why are there so many stories about famous people in the news?
In most cases, celebrity news is used by the reporters to engage more audiences. Apart from tabloids and magazines directly about entertainment, mainstream media also covers celebrities for the simple reason: having a celebrity on the cover sells.
Besides, we are always eager to know about our idols. By reading their stories, we are able to have the opportunity to live a bit vicariously.
Do you agree or disagree that many young people today want to be famous?
Quite many Young adults out there want to be famous, and I suppose they can be divided into 2 groups.
-The person who is into glitz and glam of entertainment and equates being famous with driving smart cars, living luxury lives.
-People who love what they do, and are absolutely talented. Being plucked from obscurity to become an overnight sensation on television would bring them brighter stages.
Do you think it is easy for famous people to earn a lot of money?
Basically the philosophy is the higher your impact is on society, the more you make. Whereas gains will lose, the disadvantage of being famous would be:
1. Famous people can't do things that the average person can, they are not even able to enjoy the simple pleasures of life like going for an uninterrupted walk.
2. Being constantly judged by the public is something famous people have to handle on a daily basis
3. And lack of privacy would be one of the biggest disadvantages of being famous.
Why might famous people enjoy having fans?
The primary motive for appreciating followers will be inevitably related to endorsement. Maintenance of a certain sort of relationship with fans would ensure celebs’ popularity as well as revenue.
On the other hand, celebrities thrive on interpersonal interaction just as most other human beings do since it’s always nice to have someone to talk to so that they would feel its worthwhile existing.
In what ways could famous people use their influence to do good things in the world?
Celebrities would inspire people with their talent, hard work and successful characters, it is clear that their words and their actions influence the behavior of ordinary people.
Many famous people financially support NPOs which focus on long-term health and well-being of all Earth’s inhabitants.
Group of female celebrities propelled the launch of #MeToo movement to fight for women against abusive behaviors.
Celebrities’ sense of responsibility guide their followers for a better living.
