I would like to talk about my aunt Jennifer and her daughter my cousin Ella.
We always say like father, like son. And I believe it will be fair as well to say like mother, like daughter. And I don’t mean just their appearance.
The family of my aunt is not financially challenged, but they are not very rich either. It is a mid class family so they need to be economical from time to time, which leads to their way of saving money by hunting supermarket discounts.
We all know that when a new product is displayed in the supermarket shelf, the price will be higher in the beginning but goes a bit down as a discounted one after a while. And yellow labels will show such discounts. Therefore, when my aunt Jennifer goes shopping, she constantly looks for the yellow labels, in which way money can be saved. In time, her daughter, my 3-year-old cousin Ella has acquired that trick partly because maybe she has noticed the difference in label colors and partly because my aunt Jennifer gives her some explanation.
Therefore, every time when they visit a supermarket, Ella will be like a hunting dog running around for yellow labels, followed by her mentor my aunt Jennifer.
