I would like to start by talking about the Forbidden City of China. It is located at the center of Beijing. It played a very important role in the history. It served as the home of emperors (皇帝) during the Ming and Qing dynasties. It was also the political center of the government. Emperors used to deal with national affairs there. Now it houses (把…储藏在房内) the Palace Museum (故宫博物院). It covers a large area. The building complex (综合设施) is delicate and marks the summit (顶点) of Chinese building. Nowadays there are a great number of artworks exhibited there. Every day numerous tourists from all over the world come to the Forbidden City and have a look of its treasures (财富，珍品). As to what people can do there, well, actually there are plenty of activities. You can follow the tour guide and learn about the historical background of every house and artwork. You can also visit the shops there and buy some gifts for your friends. There are many photo studios there. You can even wear like an emperor or an empress (皇后) and take many photos. It’s pretty interesting, right?
The Forbidden City enjoys a high reputation (名声). I believe people like here because it can satisfy their curiosity (好奇心). We can always watch TV serials (电视剧) about the emperors and their lives. Most of the scenes (场景) we see are made up (编造). But here in the Forbidden City, we can see what the places really look like. We can have a close look at the things they have used.
