本期节目话题背景
最近，有同学问了这样一道题“Describe a family member who you want to work with in the future”。说到这个话题，我就想起了我的妈妈!我最想与之一起工作的就是我的母亲了，事实上，在我还在上学时，我就已经跟她一起共事过啦。这里面到底发生了哪些故事，咱们一起来看看吧~
开餐馆真的是一件很辛苦很忙碌的事情，我学到很多技巧，也看到了母亲的闪光点。我想和我母亲一起工作的原因是因为她可能是我见过的最努力工作的人。而且，她的思想非常开放，愿意听取建议。

If I had to work with a family member in the future, it would definitely be my mother. As a matter of fact, I had worked with her before in our family restaurant.
I remember long time ago, my parents had a big restaurant in a very upscale neighborhood and it was quite busy. And sometimes, they had employees who didn’t show up to work and I had to cover for them. So after school, I would go there to help them out and also it was a good opportunity for me to learn some real-life skills. Since it was a restaurant, I sometimes waited on the customers, and was cashier from time to time. If the place got too busy, I would also have to work in the kitchen as a dishwasher or busboy.
They have had the restaurant for a long time and after I graduated from college with my accounting degree, I also helped them do their income taxes and keep their finances in order.
So in the future, if my parents decided to open another restaurant, which I don’t think they will since they are retired, I would definitely help them out again.
The reason I want to work with my mother is because she is probably the hardest working person I have ever met. Also, she is very open-minded who loves to listen to others advice.
