In the past, the main role of teachers was providing information. Today, however, we can get access to a wide range of information. Thus, there is no role for teachers. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

In the era of information, some people blindly begin to doubt whether teachers are still as significant as before for students due to the fact that students nowadays can be readily exposed to a huge amount of information. Those people ought to patiently and carefully imagine what would happen once teaching profession totally disappeared.

Ultimately, future of those students would be thoroughly ruined assuming that no teacher in school could give them moral education. Misleading information and distorted value system might easily bring students extremely negative consequences. It is convincing that some of them would have misconducts or unhealthy life goal. Thus, the future they might have would be totally different from what they and their parents expected.

In general, what teachers can do is far more than simply providing information for students, and hence in this day and age by no means should significance of teachers be ignored. Society without teachers would be what neither students nor their parents could stand.
