2016.10.13雅思大作文题目
Some scientists say there are intelligent life forms that may exist on other planets and we should send messages to the outer space. Others think that it may be too dangerous for people on the earth. Discuss both views and give your own opinion.

Aliens seem to only live in science fiction works, but the general public shows great interest in exploration on possible life forms in outer space. It is even proposed that we should send messages out of the planet to get in touch with intelligent beings that may exist in the universe.
Theoretically, the earth is not the only planet that is suitable for the evolution of plants and animals. If we could discover any intelligent beings similar to mankind outside the earth, it could give us inspiration in reflecting on the past and planning for the future. Considering the problems that have been prevalent on the planet such as the depletion of resources and environmental pollution, it is quite reasonable for scientists to explore the universe and look for larger space for human beings.
However, some people object to this idea and they are concerned about the possible iev are concerr risks it might bring to the earth. According to the knowledge and experience they gain from fiction novels and movies, those aliens are expected to have civilizations far more advanced than humanity, which means they have the ability to dominate or destroy the earth. If such intelligent aliens do exist somewhere other than earth, we would rather not disturb them.
Based on the information I have about this topic, I think it is hard to say whether or not we will discover intelligent beings outside of the earth. It seems to be dangerous to send signals to actively call their attention to the earth; but I do not oppose the current space programs, which conform to the interests of mankind.
