Celebrities are now everywhere — on TV, in magazines, or in sports arenas. Theomnipresence has earned them a cult following among young people, even for those who set a bad example. In my opinion, this is unfortunately negative. 38 words

One serious problem that can arise from the admiration is that it can lead to blind imitation. While in the transition period to adulthood, the young admirers see media and sports stars in the news everyday and mimic what they do, fantasizing about being like them when growing up. Certainly, neither a life of considerable luxury nor an epidemic of slimness those superstars lead is a good influence. Their behavior (drug use and drink driving) sometimes could be even destructive.

The worship also confuses people in distinguishing between right and wrong. This is because when celebrities who leave much to be desired are more well-known and worshipped than others, the young may question the value of determination and hard work. The distorted view, then, would mislead them into believing that success could be easily achieved without effort but with shameful practice.
