1. What is the most popular transportation means in your hometown? Well, the most prevalent transportation means is private car. Since my hometown is a metropolis(都市）, a number of local residents are well-off and can afford a car. Therefore, majority of local people rely on cars for their life.
2. Do you think people would drive less or more in the future? Well, I assume there would be less driving in the future. The first reason is that people would prefer other transportation considering the environmental cost produced by private cars: the exhaust fumes（废气） and stuff like that. Besides, the traffic condition(交通状况） and restriction（制约） on car use would further（更进一步） limit the driving in big cities in China in the future.

It reminds me of the first time I went to Shanghai by high-speed rail(高铁) 3 years ago. It is my first time to take a long-distance trip just by myself. （客观信息交代）
It had been my dream to visit this metropolis since I was still in primary school. I am always intrigued(吸引；迷) by the culture and history of this city, and fascinated by glamor of it. But as northerner, my hometown is far away from this city, which takes me 10 hours on regular train. However， there was a new train station constructed about 3 years ago, allowing the high-speed rail to pass and take a stop in my city. The travelling time was reduced to 4 hours for one-trip.

So that year, during the summer break, I went to my dream city. The whole journey was a nice experience: compared with regular train, it was very clean and comfortable, at least enough legroom（放脚空间）between seats. Besides, there were plugs(插座) beneath the seats which allow passengers to charge their electronic devices; the design of the it was just passenger-oriented. The train crew(乘务员) would clean the toilet every hour and offer a variety of food and beverage.
