最近，有同学问了这样一道题“Describe something that was broken in your home and then repaired”。聊到这个话题时，就不得不提到我曾经修理灯泡的经历。我曾经住在一套老旧的公寓里，这里厨房的灯泡坏了。原本我是不打算修理它的，但是太黑了，所以我还是修了，结果我反复修理了三回！到底发生了哪些故事？咱们一起来聊一聊吧！
不知道大家是否有在家修理东西的经验？在修理电灯时，还需要找到灯组匹配的灯泡，我只好在网上搜索下单，由于没有库存，我足足等了三个星期！换上新的灯泡后，没过多久，又坏掉了……

I remember I used to live in this old apartment and I had to fix the kitchen light three times. Basically, the apartment was very old and the light-bulb in the kitchen started to flicker. In the beginning, I decided not to fix it since I barely use the kitchen and even if I did, I could still see because it was summer. So this went on for three months and it finally got fried. And then it was winter and became dark very early, so I couldn’t see anymore.
But the problem was the kitchen light was a not just one bulb, it was a whole unit. I had to disassemble the ceiling unit to get to the light bulb.
After working out quite a bit of sweat, I finally removed the light bulb but to my surprise, it wasn’t a regular light bulb. It is one of those special light bulbs I had to order from JD. Then I placed an order on JD but the light bulbs were no longer in stock because it is an old model and I had to wait for like 3 weeks before finally receiving it. Then I put it on, reassembled the ceiling light unit, everything worked. I was happy but then it fried again after 3 weeks. So this happened two more times before I had to call the building maintenance. They told me there was nothing I can do about it unless I replace the kitchen light unit because the electric wiring was faulty for the whole kitchen. At the end, I bought a portable light and moved after 2 more years.
