1. endorse
v. 为…做广告宣传；
e.g. That brand of sneaker is endorsed by several basketball stars.
注：sneaker: 运动鞋

e.g. celebrity endorsement 明星代言
e.g. He used celebrity endorsement to promote his brands.
本季口语话题：What do you think of celebrity endorsements in advertising?
Benefit: Celebrity advertising can substantially boost exposure and influence sales.
Drawback: Celebrities can overshadow brands. Consumers may focus on the celebrity, not the product.
2. distort /dɪ'stɔːt/
v. 歪曲;扭曲;曲解
e.g. The story was distorted by the press.
e.g. He was accused of grossly distorting the facts.
syn. misrepresent
v. 误述;对…作不准确的叙述;歪曲；
e.g. The newspaper misrepresented what the writer had said.
e.g. The press misrepresented him as arrogant and bullying.

3. testimonial /ˌtestɪ'məʊnɪəl/
n．A testimonial is effectively a review or recommendation from a client, letting other people know how your products or services benefitted them. The goal is to showcase how great your brand is. 即用户/消费者好评, 如竟然在某宝刷的好评。
搭配：fake testimonial 即没有用过产品而一味夸产品的评论。
相关了解：Fake testimonials are considered false or deceptive advertising—and therefore against the law—for several reasons. First, they are not based on a real customer’s experience, which a testimonial must be. Second, it misleads the customer.
4. publicity /pʌb'lɪsɪtɪ/
n. 宣传；报道；
e.g. The program is a chance for him to get some good publicity for his new movie.

What does matter though- is having a big publicity campaign. If people don’t know how to use the scheme or do not understand its benefit, they don’t use it.

5. stunt /stʌnt/
n. something that is done to get attention or publicity噱头；作秀
