Saturday night is my favorite night. That's when my friends and me take our monthly bonus and go bowling to forget about our lives of bondage reviewing the latest booklets at the office. I wasn't braced, however, for the blunder that would happen last Friday night.

We pulled into the borough of our favorite alley and parked our cars peacefully. It wasn't one of those bourgeois neighborhoods with a coffee booth on every corner. We would boycott any bowling alley that sold designer coffee. Our place of recreation had to be near someplace dark and murky, like a bog in a forest.

I was just stepping out of my car when a truck came around out of nowhere. It almost hit me. Then a woman with a wedding dress came out of the truck and fell into my arms. When her bosom brushed my hands I blushed. She didn't notice and bent down to pick up the wedding bouquet she had just dropped.

  I blurted out,“Just married?”

She looked up with blurry eyes, and while twirling the bracelet on her hand, bluntly replied. “No. I just robbed a bank and there's now a bounty on my head.”

I was bogged down thinking about how to reply when I felt my bowels rumbling. I was just getting over the flu and another bout was hitting me. I quickly ran away, more embarrassed than I had ever been in my life.

When I came out of the bathroom, however, she was standing there waiting for me.

“You're cute when you're sick. How about a drink?”
