It wasn't the customary way to solve a missing person's case, but the database search on the Internet had been clear—the main culprit for the kidnapping of the boy was a cult. A cult that was popular in cyberspace. This hit me like a dart in the chest because I was familiar with this cult through my very own children. Known for its dazzling web page design and its cylinder logo ,this cult had been nothing but cunning in how it convinced people to join. First it sold daggers and other cutlery as a business. Then it connected city people with local farmers to sell vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes. And finally it offered cute toys to children that they thought they had to have. This was how my own children knew of the cult, and how they had stolen the boy. I had been cynical of the database findings at first, but as I looked at the cumulative data I knew it was correct. This case would culminate in putting cuffs on the leaders of the cult and taking them into custody. I only hoped that arrests would curtail their activities. I never wanted to hear of this cult again. I also knew that I would have to refrain from making any off the cuff comments and curb my desire to cause physical pain to these people who had stolen a child. If I did anything, it might risk the successful capture of these leaders. It was daunting, but such was the law.
