Only a hiss could be heard from behind the hideous hockey mask the hermit was wearing as he hoisted up the hooded body of the heroine of our story. He hitched the rope to a post and began the long hike down from the mountain back into town. His only homage to her beauty hitherto was several piles of homogenous red roses directly below her.But she was still alive.

As no one could hear her screaming, however, our heroine's voice soon became hoarse. While she hung there she could see the heritage of her family dying with her.Historians would conclude the story of her family and their place in the hierarchy of deposed kings and queens in tragedy. She knew that her life hinged on her convincing her holder that her hijacking didn't need to result in her death.

When he returned she was able to speak. She told him that he shouldn't hoard her to himself, but return her for money. She pleaded and she begged. She even said that she would do all she could to hinder his capture. As he reached for a hoe our heroine was sure this would be the tool he would kill her with.Instead the hermit struck the hinge she was hanging from.As she pulled off the hood and looked up from the flowers into which she had fallen the hermit said to her,“I want ten million!”
