1）How do you usually spend your weekends?
Version1 :Um***l usually spend my weekends with my family. Sometimes, we would drive to the countryside to have some picnic or go to a park to have a walk-around. Or sometimes, me and my family would just spend some time at home watching some TV or movies. Anyway, that?s how I usually spend my weekends.
Version2:Honestly，I don?t really have weekends as such, look, I founded a small accounting firm just a couple of years ago. Ever since then, I’ve been super-busy almost every single day, no matter whether it’s weekdays or weekends. So...in a word, I work on weekends.
2）In your country, do men and women usually do the same kind of things on weekends?
Version1:Um.... I’ m not really sure. I can’t say for the other sex. But I assume they would do different things on weekends.
Version2:l guess men and women would do very different things on weekends except for when they are together. I mean...when men spend their time, their weekends with their same sex, they would either play sports, games, or go to bars and pubs.but women would either sit together chitchatting or go out shopping. So....they definitely do different things on weekends.
3）When do you spend time with your family?
I spend time with my family whenever I can, for example when I get home from work or on weekends.
4）What did you do last weekend?
Version 1 :Honestly, I don’t quite remember. What I do remember is: I got up really late and missed my lunch.
Version2:l did a lot of meaningful stuffs last weekend. For example, on Saturday, I went to a tuition center to learn Japanese; On Sunday, me and my friends went to the countryside and had a wonderful outing together.
5)What are you going to do next weekend?
Version 1:1 don' t know. I haven't planned it out yet .I'll see what turns up this week and then will I decide.
Version2:l guess I’ m gonna go to visit a friend or maybe I'll just stay at home to rest a bit.
6)What do other people in your hometown or in your country usually do on weekends?
Um....people do all kinds of things on weekends, from staying at home to having an outing in the countryside, from playing sports or games with friends to spending some time with their family. Anyway...people would always find ways to relax and enjoy themselves on weekends in my country.
7)Is there anything new that you would like to do on weekends?
Version 1 :l guess so. I’ d really like to try some long distance expeditions on weekends, like to hunt some treasures and stuffs.
Version2:Actually, no. I’ m pretty happy with what I already have on weekends. I don’t want to try anything new.
8)Do you like working on weekends?
Version1 :Hell, no! Why would I? I mean, T m not a workaholic. Weekends are weekends. People are supposed to rest on weekends. So...I definitely don’t like working on weekends.
Version2:Can I say, yes? I mean, working on weekends, you get double or triple pay. It’s good. So…I like working on weekends.
9)Do you think weekends are now more important to you than when you were a little?
Version l:Honestly, I’ ve never thought about it before. So…I don' t really know.
Version2:Maybe yes. Look, when I was a little child, every single day was like weekends to me. No school, no homework. I could play all day long. Its hakuna matata. No worries.But now…weekends are so important to me, because that’s the only time when I could have some fun, some time away from work, some time with family. So...weekends are now more important
