The person I know who does something well is my friend Kevin, who plays the drums. He’s ridiculously good at them and would possibly be a professional if he didn’t already have a good job. I met him a few years ago at a concert we were both playing at - we hit it off then decided to play some music together, which is actually pretty nerve-wracking since his abilities highlight my own deficiencies. Apparently he’s so good because he began playing when he was five or six years old His older sister had been bugging their parents to get a drum set for a fair while, they finally got her one and she gave it up after a few months of practicing. They encouraged Kevin to pick it up since they didn’t like to see things going to waste and it turned out he’s a natural, so he just kept going. And that’s the story of why my friend Kevin is so good at playing the drams.
