今天我们来讲一些医疗和疾病相关的词汇，并且一起看看他们在考试中的用法~
1. prescribe /prɪ'skraɪb/
v．开药、处方；
e.g. I hoped he would prescribe some stronger pain killers
注：pain killer 止疼药
n. prescription 处方
常见搭配：give/ write sb a prescription 开处方
e.g. This medicine is only available on prescription/ prescribed. 出具处方才能获得该药物。
听力真题 3-1-2：When the doctor sees you, he gives you a prescription. He writes what medication you need on it and you take it to a chemist’s shop.
注：chemist’s shop 或者 chemist’s 药店
药店的处方药：Prescription Drug
非处方药：Non-prescription Drug or Over-the-counter Drug (药盒上常见的OTC )
2. medical
adj.医疗的；医学的
e.g. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention. 如果症状持续，需要就医。
e.g. Your medical insurance should cover the cost of the treatment. 您的医疗保险应该承担治疗的费用。
注：cover 承担…费用
n. 体检；体格检查
e.g. All candidates must undergo a medical before being accepted on the scheme. 所有候选人在被录用之前都应该进行体检。

v. 传染;侵染;感染
搭配：be infected with… by someone.
e.g. The man has been infected with cholera.

e.g. You need to dress the wound immediately to prevent infection.

和上期的contagious 意思接近，既可以指情绪上的感染力，也可以指传染性的疾病。
