　　一、动词

　　时态一致

　　1. 含义：

　　前后句的时态要保持一致。

　　例如：People are queuing for the test right now so the organizer is asking everyone to wear masks.

　　2. 用法：

　　(2) 过去时

　　(2) 过去时

　　a) 一般过去时

　　i. 定义：过去发生的动作或状态;过去习惯性、经常性的动作、行为。

　　ii. 标志词：once/in 1980/yesterday/last week/two years ago…

　　iii. 动词形式：did/ was / were

　　iv. 例句：

　　1. I didn't realize you were exhausted.

　　2. When I was a child, I often played football in the street.

　　b) 过去进行时

　　i. 定义：过去某个时间正在发生或进行的行为或动作。

　　ii. 动词形式：was/were doing

　　iii. 例句：

　　1. At that time she was working in a department store.

　　2. Students were doing the covid test this morning.

　　c) 过去完成时

　　i. 定义：“过去的过去”：即以过去某个时间为标准，在此以前发生的动作或行为，或在过去某动作之前完成的行为。

　　ii. 动词形式：did/was/were + had done

　　iii. 例句：

　　1. As soon as we got to the station, the train had left.

　　d) 过去将来时

　　i. 定义：立足于过去某一时刻，从过去看将来;通常出现在宾语从句中。

　　ii. 标志词：did/was/were + would do

　　iii. 例句：

　　1. He said he would go to Chicago tomorrow morning.

　　2. Mary’s background in physics and chemistry provided her with a unique skillset that would serve her well for the rest of her career.
